AThere are a number of factors that go along with this, but the single greatest opportunity for improving referral to hospice and paliative care lies with the physician,@ Jenkins said.

Researchers found that even nurses need more end-of-life education and the report includes how a $2.24 million grant is supporting end-of-life nursing education as a training project.
